The Nature Conservancy conducted a spatial assessment of conservation priorities within the Schoharie Creek Watershed with the goal of identifying areas that support multiple conservation objectives and provide opportunities for collaboration. Spatial data from the Natural Resource Navigator were assembled to map areas of conservation interest due to forest and freshwater ecosystem conditions, climate resilience, regional connectivity, high biodiversity, and natural floodplains. Priority areas may be candidates for land protection or benefit from habitat restoration. Funding for the report was provided by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation.
